AhlulBayt News Agency: Israeli forces have reportedly detained several individuals during a series of cross-border raids in southern Syria. According to a military statement released Sunday, the operations, conducted over the past week, allegedly targeted “weapons warehouses” in the region. The detainees, whose identities remain undisclosed, were transferred into Israeli-occupied territories for detailed interrogation.
This recent activity reflects a significant escalation in Israeli military operations, which have intensified since December 2024, following the takeover of Damascus by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and allied groups. Since then, Israeli forces have reportedly moved beyond the Golan Heights demilitarized zone, occupying key areas such as Mount Hermon.
In addition to ground operations, Israeli airstrikes have inflicted heavy damage, resulting in civilian casualties and destruction of Syrian military assets. Syria’s Foreign Ministry has condemned the attacks and called on the international community to intervene and halt the ongoing violations.
